My revamped writing journal is for #writers who want to get out of their head and leave their internal editors in the dust. It’s full of loads of space and procrastination stations to help you write. Sign up to my monthly newsletter and get it for free. https://t.co/prrWdHhjCp
@JustGeekingBy I love replying and engaging with readers and authors. I want more engagement!! And it’s hard because I’ll ask something and then not get a reply.
Why you shouldn't trust writers:
-They will steal your name
-They're constantly listening in on conversations for inspiration
-They will eat all your snacks
-By "open up to me" they mean "my characters need more inner conflict. Tell me yours"
-We know too much... about things
Ok! I’ve been MIA because life. But I’m currently editing my interview with @CaroLoganBooks and I’m amped up to write more fight scenes. This has been ages coming!! Ahhh. #thewritingapothecarypodcast
Don't let your book scare you. You scare it. Threaten it with bad grammar. Flirt with another manuscript to make it jealous. Type "looks cute might delete later" and watch your book sweat. Be unhinged.
Why writers are a little WEIRD:
-We know random facts about getting away with murder
-We wear pajamas all-day
-We don't sleep
-We talk to other personalities we call "characters"
-We say we're always writing, yet our word count never changes
-Coffee is life
-We don't go outside
Never take career advice from people that are less successful than you are, find the people that are doing better, find out what they’re doing that you aren’t.
I am so inconsistent because I’m such a TT doom scroller and a procrastinator, BUT I have 50 pages of proof edits to go and then I have to fix the second part of my middle because one of my beta readers made some great points about that part.
I think I have finally also decided on a release date. But I’m just fine tuning some of details before I confirm. But I feel good about it…if I can pull it all together.
