@DeborahMeaden Two words: Disaster Capitalism.
(it's behind current Tory policy and Brexit, read William Reese-Mogg's manuals on the subject; The Sovereign Individual and Blood on the Streets)
@vexwerewolf That's an _incredibly_ long way off, if it happens at all. Even the magical CRISPR is nowhere near 100% reliable and can have unforeseen genetic consequences. Chromosomal replacement is still _centuries_ away, there are faster ways to fight TERFs...
@Scottmorethanu@lizziegyooll @ABWelwyn @mrjamesob The voting population was manipulated by appeals to greed ("You'll be better off", We aren't), Fear ("They'll take your jobs", They won't and never did, they took the jobs no-one else wanted.) and racism ("They're going to let Turkey join" No, they're not).
@EmmaKennedy Simple solution: Don't buy those papers. Don't give the stories they propagate oxygen. Support proper journalism where you find it, not the regurgitation of press releases or analyses by body language or lip-reading 'experts'. The Royals lack of transparency feeds these vultures.
@EmrecanCubukcu@unitygames I want this as a game/toy/world-building tool. #ttrpg DMs may be interested too. Can the rules accommodate non-naturalistic landscapes, eg: alien, sci-fi, extra-planar etc?
@AnneRiceAuthor My deepest condolences. The only other author whose death affected me this deeply was Terry Pratchett. Your mother touched many lives, and I'll be re-reading the Vampire Chronicles in her memory. I hope she finds what she was looking for. ❤️
@bani_amor@NeolithicSheep Knowing what to Google, and which results to pay attention to, is a skill that takes practice and training. Regardless of the field of study.
