PhD from @medvl_cornell, teacher, Star Trek Enterprise podcaster, writer of movie words @AlternateEndng, bleeding heart libertarian. Views are no one’s.
Is it long because the director needs room to thoroughly explore the visual and auditory possibilities of this story and situation? Bring on those butt-numbing runtimes.
Is it long because it ends with an artless 30-minute CGI fight scene? Burn it in hell.
@MrRudeyHolla@MrDanielBuck 1. I have never seen this happen.
2. If it did, it would be weird enough that I would talk with the student to find out what happened and we’d work out a solution.
3. If they did the math and decided not to do it, then they get the grade for not doing it. Which is 0.
Seasons 1 and 2 were unwatchable nonsense. Season 3 is better, but it’s still substituting emotionally manipulative nostalgia bait for good storytelling.
This is Crosley Green.
After being wrongfully imprisoned for 30 years, 19 of them on death row, his conviction was overturned and he was set free.
He's now been ordered to go back to prison, for the crime he didn't commit.
This season of STAR TREK PICARD is insulting garbage, but that’s what they’re going to keep making when the people who get paid to write TV criticism keep lapping it up because OMG GEORDI AND DATA AND WORF AND THE ENTERPRISE DEEEEEE 😻😻😻
