1992 - the year ARR arrived. As Raja sir's dominance slowly began to shift, Deva sir was carving out his own space. Tamil film music was becoming three-dimensional, with distinct musical identities coexisting, each bringing something unique to the landscape.
@itissubhasree mam, Here’s a request from a Raja Sir fan and QFR fan.
For your next QFR Live concert, please consider playing any one of these. Would love to hear them live! ❤️

Uruguthey Idhayame from Nooravathu Naal, sung by Vani Jayaram amma.
That haunting voice, those strings and Raja Sir’s orchestration. The string orchestra gives it an almost supernatural quality.

And then there’s the Kazhugu theme.
The orchestra, that vocal, Udukkai, and the guitar… everything comes together to create such an eerie, almost ritualistic atmosphere.
Raja Sir in a different zone.

Same relationship. But completely different emotional spaces within it.
Feels like the inner state comes first, and the notes just follow it.

With no better party to vote for, no real ideas on the table, just a star and a crowd that believed the screen was real - the state traded governance for goosebumps. Enjoy the oath.
@labstamil Insightful thread. The shift is real, the old ecosystem and its cartel layers are shaken. But beyond that, emotional mobilisation is overtaking reasoned discourse. Cinema rewards it. Governance won’t. At this stage, it looks more like a pursuit of power than public service.
Whoever keeps food and filth on the same plate, calls it a feast and makes others believe it too. That is not politics. That is a civilization sleepwalking into its own erasure.
Degrees without delivery. Legacy without accountability. Ministry without results. Meenakshi city deserves better than a feudal landlord with a voter list. Vote them out. The goddess is watching. Waiting. For a city worthy of her grace.
Cannot respond to criticism with basic humility. No business handling a constituency. Not here to serve. The constituency is just a family property inherited across generations.
Still supporting those degrees, that performative English, that rehearsed financial wisdom? Either a fool. Intellectually dishonest. Or a co-conspirator against the city.
Inaction with a PhD. Sophisticated inaction dressed as governance. This is not incompetence. Intellectual dishonesty in its most classic form. Most dangerous politician is one who always sounds reasonable. The answer just never becomes a road or a drain or a rupee invested.
Corruption you can fight. Ignorance you can replace. But this is neither. Problems understood. Explained brilliantly. Complexity framed. Time bought with theory and vocabulary. Delivery? Zero.
