The time-tested method for solving a problem is to address its root causes. H1B abuse is the prime cause of backlog, not GC country cap. C-cap has been there since 1952 (Nationaliy and Immi. Act) cz it works. 75% H1B use by one country doesn't work. Time for #H1BCountryCap first.

All I wanted to understand is that why are we fighting for the nominal issue and ignoring the root cause. If you get the green card I have nothing to loose and as an immigrant myself I would like you all to get equal opportunity.

I said H1B needs the fix first as that is the root cause of this backlog. And I am ignorant and don’t have the exact number in hand but if you do please share the number of people who are in backlog are from Infosys, TCS and Cognizant.I’m curious

#HR1044/#S386 is not clearing GC backlog, it's transferring the backlog to ROW. Abusing H1B is the root cause of backlog. The bill will spoil diversity in EB visa system for decades. Almost all GC will go to 1 country. It's disastrous to ROW
