On this day in 2024, PM Narendra Modi launched the #PMSuryaGhar scheme with a clear vision to bring rooftop solar power to millions of households and scale up clean energy adoption across India. The initiative aimed not only to provide subsidies but to create a nationwide movement toward energy independence through technology-driven implementation. During its development, the Prime Minister suggested integrating the scheme with PM Gati Shakti so that rooftop solar planning could align with a broader national digital infrastructure platform and benefit society at large.

As recalled by Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Former Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), "The focus had initially been only on #RooftopSolar deployment, but the Prime Minister’s idea of integrating it with a national technology platform expanded its scope significantly. He noted that despite facing criticism at the time, the Prime Minister stood firm, believing that scaling solar energy at a mass level would ultimately serve the long-term interests of the state and the country."

#ParikshaPeCharcha is more than an annual interaction; it is a reassuring conversation that places students’ well-being at the centre of the examination process. Conceived by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the initiative was designed to change the way exams are viewed. Instead of fear and anxiety, exams are presented as a natural step in learning and personal growth.

Through Pariksha Pe Charcha, the Prime Minister speaks directly to students, parents, and teachers, addressing exam stress with empathy, clarity, and practical guidance. He encourages students to focus on preparation rather than pressure, to manage time wisely, and to believe in their own abilities. By sharing personal experiences and simple life lessons, he helps students realise that marks do not define their worth and that calm confidence is as important as hard work.

The initiative also sends a strong message to families and educators. Parents are urged to support rather than compare, and teachers are encouraged to nurture curiosity instead of fear. This collective approach helps create a healthier environment around examinations, where students feel understood and supported.

Over the years, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a nationwide movement that normalises conversations around stress, mental health, and self-belief. By turning an anxious phase into a moment of motivation, the initiative continues to help millions of students face examinations with confidence, balance, and inner strength.
