On the occasion of Passport Seva Divas 2026, RPO Patna celebrated the 14th Passport Seva Divas at all offices under RPO Patna covering 40 LSCs with special applicant engagement activities. Selfie booths were set up at RPO Patna & PSK Patna along with dedicated feedback zones.

While at the Regional Passport Office in Jammu, and after a warm welcome from traditional folk dancers, we popped by to take a look at the pharmacy that served for 20 years as the clinic where the local MP @DrJitendraSingh practiced before becoming Minister in the @PMO! It’s in a corner of the same building. A welcome reminder that for most MPs, there’s real life before and after politics!

Had a detailed meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs in Jammu this morning, reviewing the work of the Regional Passport Office (RPO) and the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs). We asked some tough and probing questions about passport issuance to their representatives and to those of the Police, CID and Postal Department. Some of the unconscionable delays in processing, police verification and issuance of passports were flagged and discussed. Improvements have been promised.

The 454th Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) was inaugurated on 13 April 2026 at Ramnagar, West Champaran, Bihar by Sh. Sunil Kumar, Hon. Member of Parliament Valmiki Nagar, along with Smt. Sripriya Ranganathan, Secretary (CPV & OIA), Ministry of External Affairs, in the esteemed presence of Hon. Members of the Legislative Assembly, Bihar, and other distinguished dignitaries.

With this inauguration, Bihar now has 40 passport offices, ensuring coverage across all Lok Sabha constituencies in the State.

This is a testament to the Ministry of External Affairs’ sustained efforts to expand citizen-focused services and improve the last-mile service delivery across the country.

From procedural clarity to strategic insights, the session aimed at building a more responsive and legally robust framework. The session was enriched by insights from learned ASGI Mr Narasimha Sharma and CGSC Mr Subbu Ranga Bharathi, who shared valuable perspectives on legal strategy and procedure.

पासपोर्ट सेवा आपके द्वार - पासपोर्ट मोबाइल वैन

क्षेत्रीय पासपोर्ट कार्यालय, कोटा द्वारा बारा ज़िले के कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर में 11 से 13 फरवरी 2026 तक तीन दिवसीय पासपोर्ट मोबाइल वैन/कैंप का संचालन किया गया। इस कैंप के माध्यम से बारा ज़िले एवं आसपास के नागरिकों को पासपोर्ट सेवाएँ उनके नजदीकी स्थान पर उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं। प्रतिदिन लगभग 40 आवेदनों का निस्तारण किया जा रहा है। कैंप के दौरान बड़ी संख्या में आवेदक निर्धारित तिथियों में इस सुविधा का लाभ उठा रहे हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य नागरिकों को सुगम, त्वरित एवं सुलभ पासपोर्ट सेवा प्रदान करना है।
