Secretary, AH & Vety Department, Dr. Manjunatha C, has informed that cattle affected with Lumpy Skin Disease is 7,200, of which 2,500 are active cases and 61 death.
The department has also vaccinated 20,000 cattle across state.
Advisory and helpline for Lumpy Skin Disease, Dept AH & Vety Meghalaya has been successful in recovering more than 50% of infected cattle by treatment with anti inflammatory drug, antihistaminic, immunity booster and antibiotics @Dept_of_AHD
The Government is taking active steps in conservation of the environment with initiatives like Save Shillong Rivers Campaign, Payment for Ecosystem Services, Rejuvenation of Rivers, Seed ball and tree plantation drive. These initiatives are being executed together with the community.
Today we awarded Dorbar Shnong, Civil Societies & Organisations involved in cleaning rivers & maintaining cleanliness. They are true role models of our community.
