Most people are still ashamed of using AI for writing. The shame comes from a misunderstanding, they think prompting is asking a question and copying the answer. It isn’t.
Prompting is a craft with the depth of literature. Nobody serious asks one question. One question produces one answer, and one answer is almost always mediocre. The work is in the framing, many questions, and their opposites. Argument, then counter-argument. Take the first answer and turn it against itself. Demand the adversarial review. Ask the model what would falsify its own conclusion.
It goes further. You feed it what it cannot find alone, the specific document, the specific number, the specific constraint. You direct its attention the way an editor directs a reporter. You read the research on prompting because the field moves monthly, and a technique that worked in January is table stakes by June. You track what each model generation can and cannot do, because the ceiling keeps moving.
And you never use one model. You run several, challenge one with the output of another, feed the second the conclusions of the first, and watch where they disagree. The disagreement is where the thinking happens. A single model flatters you. Two models arguing make you sharper.
People who work this way know something the ashamed don’t, this is a new discipline, and a valuable one. The writing it produces isn’t a shortcut around thought. It’s thought, iterated at a speed no solitary writer can match. It will absorb most professional writing. Not because the machine writes well, but because the person who orchestrates five adversarial drafts will beat the person who polishes one.
The shame will fade the way shame about using calculators faded. It just takes time for people to see the skill in it.

When I was diagnosed with autoimmune and developed psoriasis… they tried to blame it on ‘gluten’… and I did the whole ‘gluten free’ thing for 3 years… and did my psoriasis go away?

In 2013, during Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration, a constitutional amendment was quietly introduced under the leadership of Kimani Ichung’wah, who was then chair of the Budget Committee.

This amendment altered Article 206(2), (3), and (4) of Chapter 12 of the Constitution, which governs public finance. The changes weakened safeguards around the Consolidated Fund and effectively expanded the Executive’s ability to borrow and access public funds without the usual checks.

As a result, funds could be withdrawn at source without proper parliamentary approval or oversight by the Controller of Budget. This erosion of accountability helps explain why the Auditor-General has struggled to clearly trace the origins of some of the massive debts Kenya is now servicing.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s role in this cannot be ignored. He must be held accountable for decisions that contributed to the country’s public finance crisis.

I learnt recently that plants know when they're being eaten.

They also communicate, and they send warnings to one another.

For instance, when an insect starts chewing a leaf, the plant can detect that it isn’t just an ordinary touch from the wind or a passerby.

As a result, the plant tries to save other plants by releasing some chemicals (messages) into the air.

When other plants receive this message, they start activating their own defenses before they’re attacked. They might make themselves bitter or toxic to the "attacker."

The craziest part is that they can call for backup. Some plants release chemicals that attract predators to come and attack the insect eating them.
