Earlier today, I commissioned the new ultra-modern Central Medical Store here in Dutse. This is not just a building, but a critical step in fixing how medicines are stored, managed, and delivered across Jigawa State.

This facility is the result of years of planning and strong collaboration between the Jigawa State Government, the Federal Ministry of Health (@Fmohnigeria), the Global Fund (@Globalfund), UNICEF (@UNICEF_Nigeria,) and other partners, under the National Supply Chain Policy. With this store, we are directly addressing long-standing challenges like stock-outs, wastage, poor storage, and weak coordination in the pharmaceutical supply chain.

I have directed the Ministry of Health that all health programmes and partners should immediately begin using this Central Medical Store, so that medicines and health products are properly stored, safe, and effective for our people. I sincerely appreciate all our partners for their support and commitment. This is another important milestone in our effort to strengthen healthcare delivery and move closer to universal health coverage for the people of Jigawa State.

Earlier today, I recieved an important team of federal agencies and private investors led by the Director General of @NITDANigeria, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi (@KashifuInuwa) at Government House, Dutse, for the signing of a major partnership on alfalfa (an animal feed legume) production in Jigawa State. This project has the potential to transform our livestock sector, create thousands of jobs, and open new export opportunities for our farmers.

Agriculture is the lifeline of #Jigawa, with nearly 90% of our people depending on it and more than half of our #GDP coming from the sector. That is why we remain fully committed to strengthening both crop and livestock development. With projects like this, and with our peaceful environment, Jigawa continues to prove that it is truly open for business.

We are starting with 1,000 hectares of alfalfa, and by Allah’s grace, we will scale up to 100,000 hectares. The success already recorded by Matura Farm shows what is possible, and we are ready to work with all partners, @NITDANigeria, @NeximBank, MOFI (@MofiNigeria), @JaizBankNG, @nsia_nigeria and others to make this a reality.

To every investor who has shown confidence in Jigawa, thank you.

This partnership will be a win-win for all of us, and I assure you we will do our part to make it succeed.
