As post-producers we rarely use the generative-expand function, and often the result at 100 per cent zoom is not satisfactory in terms of texture and detail.
We need to speed up tedious and repetitive tasks more than creative functionality. For example:
- automatic crops based on the subject
- subject centring based on guides (for ecommerce output)
- subject isolation with shadow recovery
- a serious export system. We are now forced to use Image Processor Pro (God bless Russell Brown) but it needs to be updated with new functions and image formats
- a function for smoothing out clothing creases
- the liquify function as a non-destructive layer as on Affinity Photo (not as an smart-object)
- intelligent cleaning for background, skin, hair
- advanced colour grading functions (like Mindthecolor 2.0)
- support for OKLAB - OKLCH

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten greater validation of my work on apps that make capturing genuine photos and videos easier than this.
