Their other recent change about blocking all recurring payments on Indian cards isn't about being consumer friendly, it's just idiot friendly.

Being idiot friendly means losing out on banking flexibility for everyone who isn't one.

@hiteshk - RBI introduced some rather capricious rules on all Indian cards. The worst one is to deviate behaviour from US issued cards which means all auto-renewals would fail by default@

As remote hiring becomes the norm, founders in western mkts need to stop thinking of india/SEA as "low cost talent". BLR start-ups are 5yrs ahead of Denver/Austin & 5yrs behind SF on salary ranges. India's talent-to-price ratio is probably highest globally, but unf it won't last.
