Feel free to complain about the $3 and change a year we all pay the President and Chief Executive Officer of Eversource Energy is Joseph R. Nolan, Jr., but Ned Lamont is just mad his election-year gimmick has gotten screwed up after years of corruption under his PURA designee, Marissa Gillette.

Regardless of who you elect, that $30 discount on your electric bill you got is a temporary accounting gimmick and will go up again, too. We need to get rid of Democrats' foo-foo climate radicalism projects like the ones that fatten for-profit "Green Energy" company owners' profits with taxpayer-funded subsidies. Wanna talk about it?

Gov. Lamont says he wants to lower utility bills. Well, he has a choice on his desk at this very moment. H.B. 5340, which passed the legislature in May on a party line vote, would objectively increase Public Benefits charges in our electricity bills by billions over the coming decades.

It would do so by subsidizing profits of for profit Energy production companies on the backs of working class Connecticut families.

If Gov. Lamont wants to avoid violating another promise to voters, he must veto this H.B. 5340 before it automatically becomes law in just under two weeks and change course.

Everyone’s asking why I haven’t jumped into the fist fight between Erin and Ryan.

I’m running on my bold ideas and track record of getting results. The biggest scandal in this state is CT’s economic death spiral — 178,000 jobs produced in the US last month but only 100 in CT.

Erin’s offering a vague promise of “something different” and Ryan’s offering twenty percent off your utility bill and a $1,500 tax break. None of this will convince companies to move to CT.

I will AXE the state income TAX, bringing companies into the state. Don’t be distracted by the political infighting. GO BOLD with BETSY!
