@beedanny1 @BrennanFlanders @b_biffa Your view of freedom of speech seems to be that you can simply say whatever bigoted thing you want without consequences. That’s just not true. I’m not required to like you. People are not required to publish you or promote your work. People are free to condemn it and you in turn.
@beedanny1 @BrennanFlanders @b_biffa I find it incredibly puzzling that people are so horrified by it or confused by it. It seems obvious to me that we should be working for a world in which people can be true to themselves and not have to fit into constrictive societal roles they had no part in creating.
@Baroness_Nichol None of us think it only goes one way. We think that when you express your freedom of speech we’re allowed to say how awful your views are, and to contact the conservatives who are - in turn - free to decide to penalize you or not. You - in turn - are free to leave the party.
@Baroness_Nichol We cannot confirm when you deleted your post, Emma. As you well know.
All you need to do is post the email from Twitter saying you were restored after an appeal. It’s not hard.
@Baroness_Nichol It’s not laziness. The rest of us don’t have access to your email confirmation that you’ve appealed and been found in the right. All we have is confirmation that you were found to have posted hateful conduct and then deleted it.
Quick random thing - Tom is doing a project and is looking to interview some people for it. If you’re interested please click below to register your interest (and feel free to circulate the link to friends and family) https://t.co/sBQlpuvWQ1
