I’ve never been to Madinah (Sadly), I heard it once in a recording and I thought it was a one time only.
The thing is that their mispronunciation changes the meaning from أكبر the Greatest to أكبار which in Arabic can mean طبول.

There’s توكيل to someone (not sure if I’m using the right word) but a good man would marry the girl.
Also, as much as I know, if the woman has been married and divorced, she can marry herself
@D1mashqi In Beirut, I hear it all the time. I’m from Beirut. Al-Amin I think puts a recording when it comes to Athan, so it might be the reason. Other than that, mosques ranging from Hamra, Borj Abi Haidar, Basta, Tariq El Jadida, a lot of them do.
