British at the time said, “Well, we have peace in our time,” and they were proven wrong. And so I don’t trust Putin.

He’s not going to stop where he’s at if a ceasefire or peace happens. He’s going to keep trying to extend and go further.

But Putin has to understand that he’s not going to win this fight. He’s just not going to win. He has to get that in his mind.

The longer it goes, the better Ukrainians fight. He has to realize this is a zero-sum game for him, he’s not going to win it.
