For older women, higher dietary vitamin K1 intake is associated w lower long-term fracture risk. A regular daily vitamin K1 intake of ~1-2 serves of green leafy vegetables 75-150g may be important for lowering fracture risk. https://t.co/FJIgdeGrF9

Yesterday, I did a 305 km charity bike ride in 11 hours from Perth to Bunker Bay to raise funds for 3 mental health charities in southwest WA (20Talk, kaifella, blue tree project). It was tough cycling all day in the rain & wind, but well worth it with over $100k raised so far!
However, these charities require more support to continue doing their amazing work, especially with youth and suicide prevention. Your donation would be greatly appreciated!

Really honoured to receive a 2023 WA Young Tall Poppy award. As scientists, it is absoloutely critical that we get our evidenced based messages out to community! This is especially relevant to nutrition research with so much misinformation these days! #YTP2023#TallPoppy
A big congrats to ECU's Senior Research Fellow in NHIRI, @marc_p_sim, who has been selected as one of the outstanding early career researchers to receive a @aipolsci Young #TallPoppy Science Award. 🎉#YTP2023
