This study is the culmination of years of research and the primary publication outcome of my BBSRC Discovery Fellowship. Thanks to all my mentors and collaborators @JohnInnesCentre and @BBSRC for the funding.
I am incredibly proud to share with you all my latest preprint on the structure of the NifL-NifA complex in Azotobacter vinelandii:

In this study, we have combined cryo-EM with extensive biochemical and genetic characterisation of the interaction surface to reinterpret years of research and shed light on the molecular basis of the anti-activation of the NifA protein, the master regulator of nif genes.
My last act as an academic at @JohnInnesCentre! I am grateful to @BBSRC for the support but am thrilled to start my new adventure at @SwitchBioworks πΊπΈ to continue my quest to make #nitrogen more sustainable!
Cells are fast and crowded places. Numbers help us make sense of them.
Here are five of my favorite "bionumbers."
1. ATP synthase spins 134 times/second. That is much faster than the propeller on most piston airplanes, and about half the r.p.m. of a Boeing 737 jet engine.
π¨ | Red Bull will reportedly move towards a more "zeropod" type concept later this year.
According to @Motorsport, they could follow a more 2022/23 Mercedes-style sidepod design from Japan onwards.

Does anybody know any hacks on how to prevent @onedrive making my MacBookPro fans run at full all the time? Apart from the obvious, of course, which is stop using @onedrive! Thanks
