Toronto DJ Martin Streek died on this day 15 years ago.
I still think of him almost every day.
All the shows he missed, the new artists he would have loved.
His suffering, his choice, his decision changed me - and a lot of people - forever.
He left a haunting absence, like a silent echo that refuses to fade.
I wish he would have held out for a bit longer. I only understood a bit of why he did it at the time, a little more now that I'm older.
These times, it's a struggle for some to just get through the day, but you're put here for a reason.
Make the most of it.
And keep it locked and cranked.
