I think we published our @figma plugins at the same time, and they actually do almost the same: they convert styles to variables. @yannglt improved his plugin with modes creation. If mine plugin wasn’t enough for you, try this one!

@chrtzvonbrtz For styles and components you can use both `.` and `_` to indicate asset not to be published. With variables, there is a separate setting for that, but I don’t utilize it with the plugin yet.

@chrtzvonbrtz It wasn’t your fault. You probably use period (`.`) in styles’ names, which is OK for styles, but not for variables. I made a quick fix that replaces `.` with `_`. I will mark variables as hidden in the next update. Thank you for your feedback.

@muazz1m @joeyabanks First, you need to have a library updated with styles pointing to variables; mentioned plugin takes care of it. Then you need to publish these “new” styles and update files using them. Then you can safely delete/unpublish styles itself. @dotdude describes it in the video.
