@Lauralynne @cookiewhirls @manojvarsani Agree, @manojvarsani of @UseHammock had an incredible impact during the PPE crisis and beyond (I witnessed it all), supporting our staff and volunteers literally 24/7: https://t.co/9gn0vzdD4P
My favourite piece of advice from @manojvarsani. The rest of the thread is quick to read and could save fellow entrepreneurs quite a bit of time down the road 🙌
Raise money when you don't need money. Not having to deal with the stress of running out of funds will give you the mental space to pick the right investors. 2/6
‘I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds it.’ This quote from #Oprah magistrally merges together self-empowerment and accountability. @farnamstreet's newsletter really is brain food
Loved @mkonnikova's "The Biggest Bluff". The narrative is always rational and level headed and yet it's thrilling at the same time: learning, mistakes, excitement, colourful characters, even some ugliness from the dark side of gambling. What a read
Enjoying my usual session of thinking triggered by @farnamstreet. "A person’s success in life is determined by having a high minimum, not a high maximum. If you can do something really well but there are other things at which you’re failing, the latter will hold you back."
Interesting how such an apparently strong statement can be fully non-controversial. Any two given interlocutors could agree to this, whilst also mutually agreeing that their counterpart to be the "idiot"
Maybe it's a matter of sequence. Negative thinking is key to scrupulous preparation, positive thinking is the boost we need on the midst of execution and neutral thinking is the best way to deal with outcomes
"It’s puzzling to me that so many self-help gurus urge people to visualize victory, and stop there." I'm thoroughly enjoying this quote and much more from @Cmdr_Hadfield "An astronaut's guide to life on earth". Yet, I'm struggling to embrace negative thinking
My preference still is for @TrevorMoawad's neutral thinking, as I love how it helps builds a positive noise:signal ratio. A life without positive thinking would be a pretty dry affair though, so what gives?
Gyms are open in the UK, and my 116-day home workout streak is coming to an end. @GYMBOXofficial have been an incredible support to my physical and mental health throughout the lockdown
