I’m incredibly honored to have the endorsement of my own Florida State Representative Allison Tant as we officially turn toward November.
Yesterday, voters across this district put their trust in our campaign. Today, I’m grateful to have Representative Tant standing with us as we build on that momentum and bring people together for the general election.
Thank you, Representative Tant, for your confidence, your leadership, and your commitment to the communities we both call home 💙
Humbled to receive State Representative Gallop Franklin’s endorsement!
He understands the challenges facing North Florida and has focused on creating more opportunities in our communities. I look forward to working together to make sure great things come back to Gadsden, Leon, and every county across this district.
Thank you, Representative Franklin!
Big news! Former Congressman Al Lawson is standing with our campaign for Congress and I couldn’t be more honored to have his endorsement!
His decades of service have left a lasting mark on communities across North Florida, and his commitment to making sure rural communities and working families have a voice is one I deeply admire.
I’m grateful for his confidence in our campaign and honored to have him with us as we head toward November. 💙
The affordable housing crisis didn’t happen overnight, just like people don’t become disaffected overnight.
Both are the result of years of missed opportunities, broken trust, and systems that stopped working for everyday people. And because of that, neither can be solved overnight.
Re-engaging the disaffected, just like addressing housing affordability, has to happen in phases. It requires intention, coordination, and a willingness to bring people together who don’t always agree.
That’s why what’s happening in California is worth paying attention to. See this article:

In California, they have launched an “affordability response team”, a coordinated, cross-sector effort to tackle one of the most complex challenges facing their state. Not a silver bullet, but a recognition that real solutions require alignment, urgency, and sustained focus.
That’s exactly the premise behind my book “Disaffected!”
When people feel left out, unheard, or priced out of the communities they love, they don’t just disengage from the housing market, they disengage from the process altogether. And when that happens, we lose the very voices we need to solve these problems.
The path forward isn’t about choosing sides; it’s about building bridges.
Democrats, Republicans, and Independents all feel the pressure of rising costs. All see the impact on families, workers, and communities. And all have a role to play in fixing it.
If we’re serious about solving the affordability crisis, we have to be just as serious about re-engaging the people who’ve checked out.
Because the truth is simple: we can’t solve complex problems with divided communities. We solve them by bringing people back to the table and then getting to work.

I wrote Disaffected because I was tired of being told voter apathy just happens. I was tired of being told that one vote doesn’t matter and “the issues don’t affect my life.”
A recent New York Times Article on redistricting battles in the United States today shows the reality: when parties in power redraw maps out of cycle, to protect themselves, and without citizen input; voters are left with elections that feel predetermined, non competitive, and pointless. Courts step in later, if at all, and democracy becomes a gamble and reasonable people become apathetic about voting. This isn’t just an issue for Republicans or an issue for Democrats. its an issue for Americans and all those who believe in “we the people…” It’s a system problem that results in so many people not showing up to the ballot box.
Disaffected is about naming that feeling and asking what it’s doing to our democracy. If this resonates, I hope you’ll order my book Disaffected, read it, and join the conversation.
