Last season I said…
Drake Maye was the biggest sleeper (QB2)
Bucky Irving was overvalued (RB34)
Justin Jefferson would disappoint (WR21)
Kyle Pitts is a must draft late player (TE2)
Here are 12 hot takes for this years Fantasy Football season🏈🔥
Team 🇨🇦 beats the US 67:65 in a close game to take its first Americup gold medal at any age group.
Tyndale (19 and 8ast) and Ngor (15, including the last 5 points of the game) were awsome, as was Meyer with 5 steals, 3 blocks, and awsome defense.
Felicitations!
Draymond on SGA's Foul-Baiting And Flopping
“Shai, you've reached a new level of greatness my man... you got sports media coming out and talking about what they don't like about your greatness, as if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is running up and down the court with the whistle in his mouth calling a foul for himself... you all think the NBA is that easy to where this guy just flops and goes to the free throw line and he becomes the back to back MVP? We really gonna dumb the NBA down to that?”
i’m so tired of people being incapable of nuance. this isn’t about people making fun of him for flopping! he can’t and shouldn’t sue you for making a meme! it’s about people defending a company literally *profiting* off of his image/using it to make fun of him for flopping!
last thing i say about this lol. if you are trying to make this about his flopping you are missing my point
The discourse about the defending champions is often dominated by discussion about officiating. None of which merits much more than a shrug from the Thunder. SGA: “I really don’t care at all.”
ESPN story with @anthonyVslater: https://t.co/ZO86nljfD7
Gilbert arenas says how can people like rob Parker be upset at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City thunder and saying that they get a soft whistle when he’s a Michael Jordan fan that bulls team lead the league in free throw attempts in their era
NBA discourse is at an all time low.
Every single game it’s refs this and flopping that. No matter who it is. In fact, most of the people who complain are floppers themselves. JB. Reaves. Luka.
Everyone approaches the NBA with so much anger. They remember a different time. There was no different time. Kobe shot over 10 FTs a game for 3 seasons in a row. The only player that hit that stat this season is Luka. Players have always tried to get calls. It’s part of the game.
A lot of people are mad because basketball isn’t something for them to watch and enjoy, it’s a business where they can make money. Sports betting is everywhere, and it’s mostly the dumbest and poorest people doing the bets. It builds lifetime hate for players who, like everyone else, have a bad day once in a while.
The worst culprits are the “Hater Central” and “Brick Center” and other accounts that take specific angles and videos and build videos that only tell whatever story they want to tell. And it’s never going to be a positive one. They discovered that certain players get more clicks than others, and they only post about those players, making them look worse than those who are even more egregious.
People will see a few clips, not watch actual games, and form opinions of things so fast now. It never used to be this way. Everyone is more reactionary now than ever. One game it’s the Spurs are cooked. The next, it’s the Wolves are cooked. Let things play out. Give it time. I blame MrBeast, TikTok and Shorts for this.
Unfortunately, big Twitter accounts only complain as well as posting 99% of other things doesn’t work unless it’s something stupid like “Popovich solved the Wolves in 1 film session he’s the goat”. People want to fuel their hate.
Gonzaga Roster Outlook
The Zags have the luxury of bringing back three immensely talented players in Saint-Supery, Huff, and Fogle. Big leaps expected for the younger two, and Huff will score a ton.
Gonzaga should have a top-10 roster according to https://t.co/NEBQZul4un.
