@selinarobinson I hope this leads you to seriously reconsider the thinking and indoctrination that led to you - a self-professed progressive - to imagine that saying such a thing publicly could be in any way justified. I wish you sincere luck with that.
@selinarobinson It also (I know not deliberately) shows what is unconsciously felt by the majority: that Palestinians, Gazans, and Arabs as a whole are - again unconsciously - considered less than fully human. I am grateful for this statement, because it reveals a lot @ this society's beliefs.
@presgang@samsmullins we're working on a w/l game π re. it does mean likely: sad thing about aging - how predictable you realize you are. but maybe it's not sad. maybe it's just ... correct.
@nestruck and they presented winners and losers too :). i love when i feel super legit telling people it played in NYC where Oct, Is God and Fview were made + then i think of the 65 seat house, and the "dressing rooms", with no heat, rarely above freezing our whole jan-feb run.
@DevineSean you gonna do this and work at CCA and write plays and raise 350 children???? you're a beast! big big congrats and best wishes for the vote. i'm on the board of a party here (we have parties in van ...) and it was a tough, right-leaning elexn last week. you rock!
@OneCityVan i love when "playwright" is used as a descriptor as if it commands societal respect πππ (which, don't get me wrong, i think it should!)
@marcusyoussef, @ivancoyote, @vedahille, & I share our 08.11 birthday with Mavis Gallant. This is MG's centennial year and we're celebrating her, and our conascence, @VanWritersFest, 10.20.22. Special guest is visiting AugElevener Aamina Ahmad! Tix & info:

@courtneyvl @literasyme @ToasterDog@KarenFricker2 @michaelcwheeler @sinhadeb hey courtnay - i suggest you reach out to james long. his masters in urban studies has a lot of interesting things to say, in related terms (more community engagement than entrepeneurship but his research exposes some strange overlaps between them.
For years, there's been agreement across the political spectrum that we're in a housing crisis.
That's why I'm so proud to be part of @OneCityVan, a party unafraid to propose solutions that actually match the scale of the problem. Terrific coverage of our 1st housing plank here:
@sarahschulman3@morganmpage and it's been a shit-show there, like everywhere, with the covid. they now have a new lit manager, keith barker. fantastic writer, equally great guy. might be worth reaching out to him :)
@MelissaDeGenova@business Hey Melissa. My perspective (fd: I'm a friend and supporter of @MrMatthewNorris). We have a choice, on this platform. We can play to its business model, and use fake outrage to score attention points. Or we can actually try to talk, for real. It's up to each of us.
