In 2000 when RJ was kicked out of preschool because he was “unteachable” and “antisocial” …It was one of the most painful days of my life as a mom.

I could never imagine that 25 years later,

Approach Him and be at peace. 💜✝️

It’s not our words, our phrasing, or even the way we pray that matters most. What truly matters is His presence, His grace, and His ability to read the deepest longings of our hearts.

Stillness doesn’t come naturally to many of us. Sitting quietly without distraction can feel almost impossible. I’m learning, though, to simply sit with Him—letting Him search me, shape me, and change me. When my mind begins to wander, I’ve found that listening to sermons on Spotify (I see you, @pastorallenjackson!) or immersing myself in Scripture helps me draw near to Him and rest in His peace.

What about you? Where do you find it difficult to approach God? What distractions or struggles keep you from His presence? Could it feel natural to pray for God to open pathways, light your steps, and draw you closer to Him?

Let’s pray together:
“God, please gently and continually reveal more of Yourself to me. Remind me again and again that true holiness and peace are found in You and in Your presence.”
