@JoeyColeman It’s refreshing to see a court accepting the evidence of the residents and the experts. Not enough of that in the BC courts, where they mostly just accept whatever the fire/police have to say, without regard to the needs of the unhoused residents.
@lex_is This is quite amazing. The conflict btw the professional conduct rules etc and what we know to be morally correct can be challenging in the social justice/advocacy space.
@TD_Canada had to wait 95 minutes on hold for a credit card inquiry yesterday that resulted in zero information. Has the increasing interest rate environment led to you forgetting that we have a choice of service providers?
@LSSOnt Even in the day of cheaper tuition, I could never have articled without being paid. Too much student debt. It is appalling that this is being discussed. Shame on those who do not pay.
Lunch at local dosa shop. The new BC Vaccine card system works great. All patrons really happy. It’s more freedom, not less freedom. Vocal minority really is the minority.
@bmo_sayso@mspratt I was given my mentor’s bag when he went to the bench. I took it to every significant attendance, for inspiration and karmic intervention. It made me a better counsel to try to deserve his initials on “my” trial bag.
