Be careful at the Great Highway. Major flooding. Highway is closed in both directions, south of Sloat. Northbound lanes between Sloat and Lincoln are open. Southbound lanes along that stretch remain closed. Currently there is no reopening info. Follow @sfpublicworks for updates.

The rain has been keeping our crews busy around the clock. It also activates some of our green infrastructure.

Here stormwater runoff feeds the extensive rain gardens at the newly-built Southeast Community Center where we led the design, construction and greenspace creation.

Today we celebrate the reopening of Margaret Hayward Playground in Western Addition! This $28 million renovation, funded largely through the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond, has transformed the 6-acre park into an accessible, unified, vibrant community space.
