Dále muslimové brutálně mučili a vraždili srbské zajatce.
V létě 1993, během chorvatsko-bosňácké války ve střední Bosně (oblast Travniku), Vojska Republiky srbské pod velením Ratka Mladiće umožnila evakuaci tisíců chorvatských civilistů a bojovníků HVO přes území pod srbskou kontrolou, konkrétně přes horu Vlašić.

@kos_data You are not considering all the crimes against Serbian since almost 1945… just some names, maybe they will remind you something: Jasenovac and Oluja!
And about your lovely Kosovo, Serbians are persecuted since 1389!
Today marks the solemn 22nd anniversary of the tragic murder of young boys Ivan Jovović and Panto Dakić by the Bistrica River in Goraždevac, Kosovo-Metohija. Gathered before the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, the faithful who took part un the commemoration service were addressed by Bishop Ilarion, vicar to Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and Bishop of Novo Brdo.
In his poignant homily, Bishop Ilarion reminded those present that this gathering was not merely for remembrance, but to celebrate life itself, for in God, all are alive. “We have come together today to honor life, paradoxically celebrating it even as we commemorate the departed, because we believe that in God, everyone lives,” he said. “Ivan and Panto are alive in God, enveloped in the mystery of His embrace, which awaits us all.”
From the world’s perspective, the bishop acknowledged, the pain is overwhelming: Why should innocent children suffer so? Why does justice elude us? Why do questions of perpetrators and unfinished restorations linger? Yet, through the lens of holy liturgy and Christ’s presence, those “whys” fade away. “When God is with us, questions dissolve. Nothing more is needed than the grace and warmth of His divine embrace, in which we all reside. We need only faith to open our eyes, to see the Risen Christ, and to behold Ivan and Pant in His arms.”
Offering words of profound consolation to the grieving families and community, Bishop Ilarion urged them to transcend bitterness through faith: “It falls to us, brothers and sisters, to heal the sorrow in our hearts. No matter how heavy and bleak this life may seem, let us transform it into something good and sweet by our belief in the Risen Christ, especially you who bear this pain, which will only fully ease when you embrace Ivan and Panto once more. Until then, we live by faith, a faith that will blossom in Christ’s eternal presence and love. I implore you to set aside the weight of injustice and see in everything the triumph of life. We are here because we believe in life’s victory through Christ’s coming, where all will dwell eternally if we open our hearts to communion with Him.”
Bishop Ilarion’s message in Goraždevac resonates as a powerful beacon of hope and faith, inviting us to view even the darkest moments through the prism of Christ’s resurrection and God’s unending love. May it inspire resilience amid adversity.
On 13 August 2023, Ivan Jovović and Panto Dakić were killed in an armed attack by an unidentified gunman against a group of Serb children swimming in the Bistrica River. Several other children were wounded. The perpetrators have never been brought to justice.

Today we celebrated Venerable mother Angelina!
Saint Angelina Branković: A Life of Piety and Endurance
Saint Angelina Branković, also known as Venerable Mother Angelina, stands as a prominent figure in the history of the Serbian Orthodox Church, embodying resilience, devotion, and spiritual leadership during a tumultuous era of Ottoman expansion in the Balkans. Born around 1440 in Berat, within the Ottoman Empire (present-day Albania), she was originally named Angjelina Arianiti and hailed from a noble Albanian family renowned for its resistance against Ottoman incursions. Her life spanned the late medieval period, marked by political instability, exile, and the preservation of Orthodox Christian traditions, ultimately positioning her as a saint whose legacy fosters cultural connections between Serbs and Albanians.
Early Life and Family Background
Angelina was the sixth daughter of Gjergj Arianiti Komneni, a distinguished Albanian prince and military leader who actively opposed Ottoman domination, and Maria Muzaka, the daughter of Despot Andrea III Muzaka. Her family ties extended to key figures in Albanian history, including her elder sister Andronika (Donika), who married the legendary Albanian hero George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, making Angelina his sister-in-law. This lineage placed her at the intersection of Albanian nobility and Orthodox Christianity, as the Arianiti family maintained strong ties to the faith amid regional conflicts. Growing up in a period of resistance against Ottoman rule, Angelina’s early experiences likely instilled in her a profound sense of duty and piety, qualities that defined her later contributions.
Marriage, Exile, and Family Life
In 1460, Angelina married Stefan Branković, the exiled son of Đurađ Branković, the former Despot of Serbia (r. 1427–1456). The union occurred in Shkodër, under Venetian Albania, during Stefan’s visit to Skanderbeg. The couple’s life was characterized by hardship and displacement due to Ottoman pressures on Serbian territories. They initially resided in Albania before relocating to Northern Italy in 1461, where they acquired the castle Belgrado in Friuli. There, Angelina gave birth to their first son, Đorđe (George), named in honor of her father and Skanderbeg.
The family produced four children: Đorđe, who later became a titular despot and bishop; Jovan (John), who ruled briefly as despot; Irene; and Maria, who married into Italian nobility. Following Stefan’s death in 1476, Angelina managed the family’s affairs in exile, moving to Carinthia under the protection of Emperor Friedrich III. In 1485, her sons were invited by Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus to claim their inheritance, leading to their recognition as titular despots, though the Serbian Despotate had fallen to the Ottomans in 1459. Throughout these trials, Angelina emphasized Christian education for her children, fostering their eventual roles in church and state.
Angelina’s commitment to Orthodox piety profoundly influenced her offspring, with her sons attaining sainthood in recognition of their virtuous lives and contributions to the faith. The eldest, Đorđe, initially served as Despot of Serbia but abdicated in 1496 to pursue monasticism, adopting the name Maxim and rising to become the Metropolitan of Belgrade and Srem; he is venerated as Saint Maxim for his ecclesiastical leadership and spiritual dedication. Her younger son, Jovan, assumed the despotic title briefly before his untimely death in 1502 and is commemorated as Saint Jovan the Despot for his righteous governance and unwavering devotion to Christ, further exemplifying the holy legacy of the Branković family.
@GrkStav@grok Thank you. In May 1992, German Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel made a particularly pointed remark regarding Serbia in the context of the unfolding Yugoslav conflict. Addressing journalists on 24 May 1992, he stated that “Serbia must be brought to its knees.”
Clear film evidence from Muslim sources that Bosnian leader Izetbegovic 'betrayed and sacrificed' Srebrenica by refusing to defend it - trading land for lives to ensure US intervention. The town's police chief tells Izetbegovic he's 'crazy'.
