Example Tweezers: Brands like Revlon, Tweezerman and more frequently sell basically identical stainless steel tweezers with only cosmetic differences like color and packaging. They markup the women’s line
Women’s tweezers can be $18+ while men’s might be $12, but they’re the same
It’s not just tweezers
Studies from NYC Consumer Affairs and more have found women pay 13%+ more on average for similar personal care items like razors, deodorant, shampoo, and grooming tools
Some women’s products have slight design tweaks but many don’t, many just change the color
It’s just another corporate scam in America that’s somehow legal
People are not getting this.
In January, most of the country gets roughly 9–10 hours of daylight no matter what we call the clock.
Example:
STANDARD TIME:

PERMANENT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME:
☀️ Sunrise: ~8:15 AM
🌅 Sunset: ~6:00 PM
That is the SAME amount of daylight.
You did not gain sunlight.
You just moved the clock one hour later and created darker mornings in winter.
The sun doesn’t change.
The clock does
STOP trying to put America on permanent jet lag.
Permanent DST means:
darker winter mornings
children waiting for school buses in darkness
worse circadian disruption
less natural morning light
The human body runs on SUN time — not shopping time.
End the clock changes if you want.
But permanent STANDARD time is the biologically healthy option.
Nature already created “daylight savings.”
It’s called summer.

It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered.
You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day.
This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm.
The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone.
A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time.
Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans.
We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all.
Fix the time zones and affix standard time.

California Democrats are trying to rewrite the rules of the Governor’s race.
They’ve filed a ballot initiative to scrap the “Top 2” primary system — because the two candidates leading right now are Republicans.
The initiative would bring back party-only primaries, where you’d only vote for candidates in your own party.
The guy behind it is Steve Maviglio, former communications director for Gov. Gray Davis and a longtime Democratic operative. This isn’t some outsider — it’s a top Democratic insider moving to change the rules mid-game.
The irony: the Top 2 system locked Republicans out for 15 years. Now that it’s set to lock Democrats out, they want to change it.
Our bodies align to the sun. Standard Time aligns better, while Daylight Saving Time is an hour too fast. Ditch DST and Save Standard Time, for less stress and greater health!
