Your true friends will never watch you remove your cloth off in public and just watch you do that...they'll force your cloth back on!.
Sometimes a true friend’s love looks like: No, sis. We’re not doing this. Put your clothes back on❤️
Your real friends will never watch you make a mistake, they care enough to stop you, correct you and protect your dignity, even when you don’t want to hear it.

🩵 "I want to be a doctor in the future, just like you." A Senior 3 girl said this to me on Day 2 of FUMSA Medical Camp, right after I reassured her about her stomachache and headache.
I hugged her and told her that dream was hers to reach. I didn't expect it to move me the way it did.🫂
That moment set the tone for my whole day.
We carried forward the teamwork and rhythm from Day 1 at Rubaare HC IV, then I moved on to Rwashamire HC IV and FORMA Medical Centre; learning from more student colleagues while making sure every patient was seen.
A 56-year-old mother told me, "Please stay longer, you've restored hope in this village." 🥹
I didn't have words.
Just gratitude, and a wish that camp could last longer.
In two days, I helped restore smiles for over 40 people, not as a doctor yet, just a student who showed up.
That truth alone is fuel for the journey ahead in medical.
🫂New friendships across medical schools.
✅️Shared meals.
✅️A certificate that means more than paper.
👌Learning was never meant to stay in lecture halls.
Grateful for every organizer, partner, and student who made this camp what it was. 🙏🩺

Beyond the consultations, there was something even bigger happening. 🤝🏽
One of my biggest takeaways from the FUMSA Medical Camp was the power of bringing medical students from different universities into the same space.
Different schools. Different experiences. Different strengths.
But one shared purpose: service.
Every conversation, every shared meal, every consultation and every lesson reminded me that medicine becomes even more meaningful when we learn with one another, not just from textbooks.
I came expecting to contribute.
I left realizing how much I still have to learn. And honestly, that's a beautiful place for a medical student to be. 💙🩺
Here's to more collaboration, more learning and more communities reached.

🇷🇼 Bill Gates' Memories from an Inspiring Trip to Rwanda
During his visit to Rwanda, Bill Gates reflected on a country that has become a global example of how vision, resilience, and investment in people can transform lives.
Here are some of the most powerful lessons from his journey. 👇🏿🧵
It's finally happening tomorrow 😢
Every effort behind the scenes i am grateful on my own behalf 🙏
Every partner and individual who has stood with in the gap.
The journey has not been easy but togetherness made it possible 🤍
As we count down, I want to take a moment to appreciate everyone who has worked tirelessly to bring it this far.
To the FUMSA team, organizing committee, medical students, healthcare professionals, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and community mobilizers
Thank you!.
#RwandaWorks 🇷🇼
Rwanda's Community Health Worker (CHW) programme continues to stand out as one of the country's greatest public health success stories, with more than 58,500 Community Health Workers now delivering essential healthcare services at the community level.
Established in 1995 with approximately 12,000 volunteers, the programme has evolved into a nationwide network supporting maternal and child health, disease prevention, treatment of common illnesses, nutrition, family planning, and emergency public health responses.
According to @RBCRwanda , Community Health Workers play a vital role throughout the continuum of care from identifying pregnancies and promoting antenatal care to supporting immunization, screening for malnutrition, managing uncomplicated childhood illnesses, and referring severe cases to health facilities.
Their contribution has also been instrumental during public health emergencies, including the #COVID -19, #Ebola , #Marburg , and #Mpox outbreaks , where they supported surveillance, community awareness, and case reporting.
The impact of their work is reflected in Rwanda's latest health indicators. The 2025 Rwanda Demographic and Health Survey (RDHS) reports that maternal mortality declined from 203 to 149 deaths per 100,000 live births, under-five mortality decreased from 45 to 36 deaths per 1,000 live births, while childhood stunting dropped from 33% to 27%.
As Rwanda continues to strengthen its health system, #CommunityHealthWorkers remain at the heart of delivering accessible, equitable, and life-saving healthcare to communities across the country.
