@cecsquared Thank you for sharing. Fwiw, my celiac is so bad and I'm so sensitive that the low gluten hosts make me sick. And the wine - I haven't figured out what in wine makes me break out in hives and trigger migraines. It's been real tough.
@cecsquared My dad almost literally killed me, and my mom said I "deserved it." Needless to say, I went no contact for a long while. So sorry this happened. ๐ข *hug*
@cecsquared For many years, I would think about my 5 year plan and think how great it would be to accomplish it. It was not possible due to illness and other pressing responsibilities. However, in 2023, I finally finished my bachelor's and got accepted into grad school. Your time will come.
@cecsquared It's kinda funny. There are therapies that focus on this acceptance. The funny thing is, once I accepted suffering as an undeniable part of life, I don't suffer as heavily or as much. I still suffer - it just seems more bearable.
@cecsquared Sorry to hear! The good news is that you can get there! EMDR, in my experience as a patient, can be pretty intense and dysregulating, so learning to regulate by working on some things can be beneficial, not to mention getting a better handle on the issue(s) that bring you to EMDR
