@Learn_wit_Clara Based on stats alone - sure. But there are always "other" factors. Most loved, most influential, those kind of things. For me the only one who made me and many others CRY with joy when he won Wimbledon - the great Arthur Ashe.

@Garnet_2203 Also - it may be something rarer and harder to spot than a traditional "heart attack". Extra training may be part of the solution/recommendation. We should not rush judgement on this yet.

@letstrade_1 @raghu_venugopal @KirkLubimov That does not seem to be the case in the UK (which would have similar problems re overcrowding of ERs, and underfunding, etc). You might want to look into the actual stats and patient experience.

@Nevertaken4 @raghu_venugopal @KirkLubimov DO private hospitals typically have ER departments? Not familiar with healthcare worldwide but it seems unlikely; I know that in the UK the few private hospitals do not have true A and E (ER) depts.

@RajSherman You are right of course - but my questions are- was this an aortic dissection? and if so, how many ER doctors /nurses would spot it? And if not a dissection, what was it?

@MattJonesYYC Thank you for this. I am the wife of a survivor of an aortic dissection which was diagnosed ONLY by the expertise/experience of the ER physician (and then was operated on at the local cardiovascular Centre). If this was a dissection much more education for ERs is needed.

@t7_linda Yes it is awful, and we must do better.but have we established what he was suffering from. I am not a doctor - but this sounds more like an aortic dissection than a heart attack. dissections are notoriously HARD to diagnose and relatively rare. Sadly, ERs need more education.

@buperac Assuming this is in fact an aortic dissection - remember that both John Ritter and Alan Thicke died from this in a MAJOR LA hospital

@buperac This is not because the staff are not "from Canada'. This was probably an aortic dissection - a VERY difficult situation to diagnose. This sounds like a small hospital - yes, the ER team needs more education, and am sure they will. I am the wife of a dissection survivor.

@benonwine The British (and the other Westminster-based) systems do not 'vote for PM". The Party with the most votes gets to form the Govt and their leader becomes PM. Good to understand the different systems - no?

@JamesMelville Well, the water is good. Where I live many of the hospitals have a cafe run by Tim Hortons -> terrible coffee and not great food either.
