@chr_rai chose water risk as his last cover as editor of profil. Thank you for surfacing the climate crisis as the defining story of our time. And for 25 years of independent & sharp, journalism in Austria, sometimes reminiscent of #theeconomist. #ClimateCrisis
@SaraSchurmann Thank you for #KlartextKlima. If media don’t fully infuse the climate crisis across multiple dimensions of coverage (in particular business, politics, finance & economics) it simply won’t be understood as what it is. Leaving citizens blank on context. #DoLookUp

As #COP26 closes it’s clear that we have to accelerate climate action on top of the paperwork. Business as usual is over, this is an emergency. But let’s not lose hope on the way. It’s the only light that keeps us going.
The #COP26 outcome is a compromise, reflecting the interests, contradictions & state of political will in the world today.
It's an important step, but it's not enough.
It's time to go into emergency mode.
The climate battle is the fight of our lives & that fight must be won.
This Earth Day, am sharing some steps to move towards a 1.5 degree C lifestyle. This is not only about individual action. #EarthDay#climateaction https://t.co/JBwh8pgYLD
"The EU will likely to be the first in the world to build a #climate framework that major countries & regulators will adopt. History will soon draw parallels between the passing and implementation of climate regulations and that of the EU’s GDPR." https://t.co/PAHshlROlF
Global temperatures have increased by over 1°C since the start of the industrial revolution.
Our choices now decide how hot it gets in future.
Every tonne of CO₂ matters.

Tropical nights are striking many that aren't used to them, even the cool UK. A reminder that the GHG trajectory needs to change, even if it won't reverse the hotter temperature trend.
Trouble sleeping last night?
Provisional minimum temperature at @UniofReading was 20.1°C, making it a rare ‘tropical night’ for #rdguk.
As global temperatures continue to rise because of our greenhouse gas emissions, these types of night will become more and more common.
If brands really thought Black lives mattered they’d walk the walk in the boardroom, not talk the talk in social media. My marketing week column: https://t.co/M0wn47L8wI
