@TfL why are there five tube/overground lines closed entirely until 15.00 on Saturday when thousands of Londoners want to attend the protest in central london?
@ShawnReynaldo@_FirstFloor We canceled @BrainchildFest as a casualty of this current phenomenon. Thank you for writing about it. Many people have responded saying it's what they're going through - it's widespread & devastating for independent promoters & artists. Our statement > https://t.co/GcWVSznY1g
Not many in dance music are talking about it (at least not publicly), but the "return" of clubs/festivals isn't going as smoothly as advertised.
Despite that, the pressure to pretend nothing's wrong and project success remains intense.
I wrote about it for @_FirstFloor.

@judith_knight hi Judith, I hope you’re well. Not sure if you remember me from an interview we did some time ago, or from What Next. I’m wondering whether you’d be up for direct messaging me an email address I could reach you on for some advice? Thanks x
@Northernechoes My lord! So, so bleak. And yet somehow we always come back to it. Our suppliers said they’d never experienced anything like our weekend in 30 years apart from “that” Glastonbury of 2016. You guys are heroes!
I’m in shock. How could they not have managed to get more attendees to take & submit PCR tests after these pilot events. 3 & 6%?!? We/Brainchild could have done a better job than this. How does this not just make the findings useless?
Still baffled at why they didn't think to make post-event PCR tests a requirement of all the trial events. Just 6% of people at the nightclub trials and 3% of the Wembley attendees completed pre- and post-event tests, which severely limits the ability to draw any real conclusions

@mypandashallfly@ace_national@BrainchildFest Thank you so much 💜💜💜 lovely to hear from you and have this support. It’s very hard to keep your resolve but we’ll muscle through! Will just have to work 10x harder and make bigger sacrifices than those given this grant.
Very sad to say amidst the wave of amazing #CRF successes being announced that @ace_national decided not to support @BrainchildFest. It feels like a sucker-punch after how hard we’ve fought to survive, not just in the past year but for the last 8y as a DIY, independent festival.
After years of developing uk culture, supporting over 2000 diverse emerging artists across so many art forms, selling out the festival for the past 3 years, surviving without sponsorship and as volunteers from 2012-19. Really hoped the universe to throw us a bone with the CRF.
We’ll survive. We’re used to sacrificing everything to do so, and we have things money can’t buy, like an incredible, loyal and supportive audience & community. But that they’ve seen our finances and then decided to leave us on our own to handle the risks of Covid really hurts.
@BRAINCHILDHQ hi there, I am wondering whether you would consider editing your @brainchildhq handle ever so slightly so that the org i work for (@BrainchildFest) might be able to move all its social media to the @brainchildhq handle? thanks for considering.
.@CICRegulator could you please let me know if there's anywhere I can get free advice on setting up a CIC? We have some technical questions that we can't find clear guidance on online. Thank you!
We’re looking to speak to first year students whose uni halls have been locked down about what the experience is like, esp for PoC living away from home for the first time. If that’s you, please email [email protected]
