1/Having trouble remembering how to differentiate dementias on imaging?
Is looking at dementia PET scans one of your PET peeves?
Here’s a thread to show you how to remember the imaging findings in dementia & never forget!
New work from the Frost lab published today in Alzheimer's & Dementia @alzdemjournals! We find that toxic forms of tau cause a deficit in RNA quality control 1/? https://t.co/or6NsaXpOY
Interested in #genomics, #retrotransposons, structural variation, DNA methylation, dark loci, brain #aging or #Alzheimer’s disease? Check out our new @nanopore DNA sequencing-based analysis of the aged human brain with and without #tau pathology.

We're celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science!
Let's look back on the life of Marie Skłodowska Curie: a Nobel Prize laureate who dedicated her life to science and became one of the world's greatest scientists.

@PaulRamirez42@skadener@Miguel_Minaya@karchlab Shout out to Frost lab Research Assistants/Associates Jasmine de Mange, @marissamm6, and Elias Gonzalez for their important contributions to this study, as well as funding from @NIHAging and @NIH_NINDS! (12/13)
I met the one and only, astronaut Ellen Ochoa. I had the pleasure of interviewing my childhood hero for the Women in Neuroscience Opportunity Event. Thank you @helloNeuroWomen for all the opportunities you continue to provide women!❤️
New work from Jay Ambati's group leverages health insurance databases to discover that nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (like the one we are using in our Phase II for patients with Alzheimer's disease) reduce Alzheimer's disease risk: https://t.co/mBCNbWq5LE
My grandma has Alzheimer’s and it had been years since she had forgotten who I was. But today I came home to visit her and she said my name twice (which she never does). Not sure if she actually recognizes me, but I like to think she does 🥰
Congratulations to DR. Elizabeth Ochoa @elizabethmochoa who rocked her dissertation defense this week! Dr. Ochoa discovered that pathogenic forms of Tau drive production of transposable element-derived inflammatory double stranded RNA in human, mouse, and fly tauopathy.
