A reason to take this seriously: https://t.co/YYYMp4F2Q9 data out today shows 53% of US consumers have asked AI for financial advice in the last three months.
In the same research, friends and family remain the most consulted source of financial guidance overall, well ahead of actual advisors.
Worth pausing on: a generation receiving algorithmic financial guidance and validating it against household consensus.
The FinTech disruption isn't coming, it is here already.

There's a humility that comes from debugging a neural network at 2 am and realizing the bug isn't in the code but in my understanding.
I completed the @StanfordEng AI Professional Certificate this month.
It was, without exaggeration, the hardest thing I have ever studied. The mathematics is unforgiving, and there is no hiding behind vocabulary when your "loss curve" refuses to "descend".
It was also very rewarding. One part of it was seeing firsthand why knowledge work is about to change in ways most haven't fully registered. Another part of it was the incredible satisfaction of finishing something I wasn't always sure I would.
Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing specific takeaways.
To anyone considering the program: yes, it's hard, yes, it's worth it, yes, bring patience.

This Is Not a Drill: What Anthropic's Mythos Means for Asset Owners
Anthropic refused to release its most capable AI model because it's too good at finding software vulnerabilities. They handed it to Apple, Microsoft, JPMorgan and 40+ others to patch the world first.
32% of family offices cite cybersecurity as their greatest gap. 43% were hit in the past 24 months.

1/ I spent a month building an AI agent to monitor a fund portfolio.
I expected to learn about software. Instead I learned three things about my own workflow I'd been getting wrong for years. 🧵
4/ Context belongs in files, not chat windows.
Karpathy calls it an "LLM Wiki" — a persistent Markdown knowledge base the agent reads on every run. My workflow shifted from prompting to curating. The knowledge compounds.
It was great to chat to Oliver Adler, former chief economist at Credit Suisse, about the outlook for inflation (with @PaulH_011) https://t.co/0Ez2VchBka
