"God loves you just as you are, but He dreams of you being even better! The Lord allows us all to start anew."
During his visit to the "Brians 1 Penitential Center," Pope Leo XIV reminds prisoners that life's mistakes do not define a person's identity.

Juan Enrique has never quite flown a mission for the Spanish Air Force like this one.
On June 9, 2026, the sky over Madrid was clear, a pale blue that stretched endlessly as his fighter jet cut through the air with precision. Below him, the Spanish countryside unfolded and just beside him, steady and dignified, flew the Iberia aircraft carrying Pope Leo XIV from Madrid to Barcelona.
As they flew over Spain, the Holy Father stepped into the cockpit to greet the crew. One of the pilots showed him photos of Juan and explained that, beyond serving as a Spanish Air Force pilot, he was also a father and a Catholic—keenly aware he was escorting the successor of Saint Peter across his homeland.
The moment quickly turned personal.
Pope Leo XIV, visibly delighted, waved toward Juan’s jet. From his fighter jet, Juan captured a photo of the papal plane and its crew. Then, over the radio, the pope reached for the boom microphone and spoke directly to him.
“It is a pleasure and a blessing to meet you,” Pope Leo said. “Thank you for everything. It is a great honor.”
For a man trained to navigate speed, altitude, and precision, this was something altogether different—a moment of grace, carried not on the ground, but in the skies above Spain.

Pope Leo: “We are beggars for love, we hunger and thirst for truth, we seek a full meaning that sustains us, encourages us, and helps us understand the mystery of our life. Sometimes we experience the night of faith, the struggle to believe, the weariness of the spirit, the sense of inadequacy in the face of the Gospel's call, the bitterness of our failures, and the fear of not measuring up.”
Something that always gets me when I see an old pet photo:
Photographs weren’t cheap back then. You couldn’t just take your phone and snap a picture. For most, photographs were an indulgence. Something for special occasions
These cats were *loved*
Pope Leo at Barcelona Prayer Vigil: “In our societies, the idolatry of profit, the frenzy of always having to produce and be winners, as well as the cult of one's own self-image, are nothing more than anesthetics to numb our conscience and adapt it to a certain idea of society.”
Pope Leo XIV will hold Mass at Barcelona’s iconic La Sagrada Familia where he will offer a papal blessing to the highest spire of what is now the tallest church in the world. https://t.co/mjXxcV2lIx
