@UppittyW @UWSoftball @B1Gsoftball ❕❕❕Sending to my softball crew right now! 💜💛🥎

[Uppitty Old Woman @UppittyW]

All the pitchers struggled at times with a very tight strike zone but hits were still few on both sides of this 1-2 squeaker of a game! The Husky defense was remarkable all weekend, & rarely will you see such good pitching result in 2 losses. #MightyAreTheWomen

Back at Montlake for the Rubber match between @UWSoftball & Stanford! Go Dawgs! #MightyAreTheWomen!

[UW OMA&D @VPOMAD]

OMA&D is saddened to learn of the passing of WA State Senator (ret.) John McCoy (Tulalip). McCoy exemplified public service and was a friend to OMA&D and to the UW. His advocacy was instrumental in the construction of OMA&D's Intellectual House. Our thoughts are with his family.

[Everett Herald @EverettHerald]

John McCoy, 79, served in the state House and Senate for a combined 17 years, fighting for tribal, educational and environmental causes, @KaylaJ_Dunn reported.

[Governor Bob Ferguson @GovBobFerguson]

Sen. McCoy was an inspiring and effective leader whose dynamism as a legislator served everyone in our state. He was a fighter for students, the environment and Tribes. His influence lives on in Tulalip and the halls of the state Capitol. https://t.co/UEir7DnFc9

[WA Senate Democrats @WASenDemocrats]

We mourn the loss of former Sen. John McCoy of Tulalip. He was one of the longest serving Native American legislators in our state's history, a veteran & a champion for tribal sovereignty, environmental protections & public education. Our state owes him a great debt. #WALeg

For Dad 💜

[UW Dawg Pound @UWonSBN]

The issue with having a really freaking awesome softball program is that every year the season ends & every year you have to say goodbye to really freaking awesome seniors.

And this class feels like the really freaking awesomest we've had to say goodbye to in a long time 💜💛

[Jen Schroeder @jen_schro]

At this point it seems like in any pickle, obstruction should be called.

[Highly Caffeinat(Ed) Strong @ByEdStrong]

Fact #1: The obstruction rule is absolutely terrible and needs to be changed ASAP

Fact #2: As written, that was a correct call of obstruction

[Marjorie @marjoriej5]

@edwardsanthonyb They’re still racist tho so we got that 🤷🏽‍♀️

[Marjorie @marjoriej5]

@vinnyspeziale LETS GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!

[Marjorie @marjoriej5]

LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Highly Caffeinat(Ed) Strong @ByEdStrong]

Huge double play to end the inning as Huskey makes a great sliding catch and then doubles Keen off first. Noles get one right back but could have had more

E6: 3-1, FSU

[Marjorie @marjoriej5]

Not enjoying the racist stereotypes and caricatures FSU continues to market in. They’re harmful to children and I don’t care who “endorses” them. #LearnABook

[NCAA Softball @NCAASoftball]

Keep your eyes peeled for these special cleats! 💜

#WCWS x 🎥 ESPN / @UWSoftball

[Marjorie @marjoriej5]

@UppittyW @NCAASoftball @UWSoftball @ryleeholtorf Took my cat a couple years but she’s finally embraced the celebration screams at the tv 💜 btw took a personal holiday today. Priorities

[Marjorie @marjoriej5]

@ByEdStrong That’s not the same ump from supers is it? If not that means there’s two of them???

[Highly Caffeinat(Ed) Strong @ByEdStrong]

The @UWSoftball #WCWS tradition will live on for at least another four seasons: every single player in program history to be with the team for at least four years has made at least one WCWS appearance #NCAASoftball #GoHuskies

[Highly Caffeinat(Ed) Strong @ByEdStrong]

Still marveling at this. @brooklyncart04 caught basically the entire stadium off guard:

Louisiana catcher
Louisiana pitcher
Teammate Alana Johnson in the batter's box
Camera crew
Announcers
Home plate umpire (wasn't looking until late)
@UWSoftball home crowd
