An old school Republican, before the Tea Party and before MAGA. Would like to see fiscal responsibility but under no circumstances will I ever vote for Trump.
Don't trust socialism. It has nothing to do with democracy. Everywhere it's been tried around the world, it has failed in two fundamental ways: it has destroyed economic hope, and it has destroyed democratic aspirations.
That's what the DSA stands for. And Republicans will be talking about that this fall.
Democrats are facing a dilemma: The left has the passion, but the middle still has the votes the party needs to win in general elections.
To win, Democrats don’t need to move left on economics. They need to move to the center on cultural issues.
My take:
@TeamSteveHilton While you have my vote, these ads won't win you the election. You need to prove to the voters that you are an independent maverick and not Trump's sweet obedient lap puppy.🐩
This makes it clear as a bell: the DSA's anti-American platform does not align with Democratic ideas or values. The socialists want to hijack the Democratic Party. We won’t let them.
As Democratic candidates position themselves for 2028, they should take note of Ossoff's responses from 2020 and remember that beating MAGA requires appealing to a majority of voters. Not the loudest voices on the left.
@GovChristie Steve Hilton, candidate for CA governor should lead this. The majority of CA voters have a deep seated utter hatred of Trump that goes beyond political and economic issues. Hilton needs to show that he is an independent maverick and not Trump's sweet obedient lap puppy!🐩
I am a lifelong Democrat. I served on President Clinton’s National Security Council and in the State Department under Madeleine Albright. I am also a lifelong human rights and civil rights advocate.
But every Democrat and every American should recognize that the DSA represents a fundamental threat to our party and our country.
This is not a story about a few idealists seeking to reduce healthcare costs. It is about a small group of radical extremists pursuing a strategy to take over the Democratic Party and ultimately our country in order to impose an agenda that would devastate our economy and fundamentally dismantle our system of government.
Don’t take my word for it. Listen to the full conversation between Fox News’ Martha MacCallum and New York City DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo and judge for yourself.
@KevinKileyCA Kevin, you can prove you're now an Independent by standing with Liz Cheney, Adam Kinsinger, and Chris Christie and denouncing Donald Trump, especially regarding the 2020 election.
Graham Platner was accused of rape and every Democrat tossed him overboard.
Donald Trump was accused of rape multiple times and sexual assault and harassment many more times. Also the whole matter of trying to overturn an election.
Republicans nominated him a second time.
This is the heartbreaking reality of what decades of one-party rule have done to our cities.
Downtown LA shouldn’t look like this—our families deserve safe streets, clean neighborhoods, and a government that actually works for the people instead of making excuses.
It’s time to end the failed experiment and bring back the California Dream.
