@dresserman Clearly well run for many years, because they understand at a laser focus level not only what's important for the business but moreso for the customer.
@BMM1882 Going back further, from 20 years ago, not just Morrisons but all of the big 4 had no self service, and not only every checkout manned but every checkout had a 2nd man there to pack your bags for you!
@dresserman They have a planned 5p per litre tax increase on petrol/diesel scheduled for September. Starmer wouldn't cancel it when asked in PMQs. First fuel tax increase in many years.
@dresserman It gets written off after so many years though, so the accumulating interest is irrelevant, it's effectively a graduate tax and should be called that rather than a loan! Those overpaying are doing so needlessly when it eventually is written off.
@dresserman Out of interest, yes supermarket margins are low, but what's the margins of the large suppliers eg Mondelez, Unilever etc. I suspect they are much higher and getting higher..
@JockAyeTheNoo@dresserman Our Asda bakery had a slight makeover recently, loads of things eg iced donuts, bread etc, all now unwrapped here also. I don't mind it not sure on the iced donuts mind.
@dresserman Vouchercloud has had working codes for Morrisons every week so far this year, managed ยฃ10-ยฃ20 off every week stacking discount codes! They publish them like confetti.
@dresserman Idea came from and was implemented at the time for Pepco by my former Matalan area manager, a very angry and ruthless lady, only boss I've ever had who I didn't like! I understand they let her go a few years ago.
@dresserman another one for your shrinkflation barometer. Eat Natural cereal bars (my fave) now 12% smaller were 45g now 40g. Messaged them and said surely price inflation in food is ending. They replied they are doing this in common with other manufacturers.
