Despite overwhelming good results of Bariatric surgery and its cost effectiveness too many insurance companies DO NOT cover it. One insurance plan in Louisiana considers Bariatric surgery similar to acupuncture and cosmetic surgery- and excludes it. This raises ethical concerns.
