I want America’s best legal minds working on an appeal for Flo Balogun, and if that doesn’t work I want a minimum of 30,000 troops ready to deploy to FIFA HQ in Zürich

Staring down the actual Declaration of Independence before stepping into the octagon as an underdog to beat the piss out of an undefeated fighter in front of the world is an extraordinary level of legendary
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
After the team flew back following UConn’s National Championship loss, Tarris Reed Jr. prepared a speech on short notice for UConn’s Athletes In Action meeting.
“I told myself I would let the Holy Spirit speak through me.”
He revealed that night, both Azzi Fudd and KK Arnold of UConn WBB got baptized
Truly amazing work and an inspirational message from T-Reed 🙏

I addressed the participants of the second-ever military prayer breakfast in Ukraine’s history. Today is a special day for us, one carrying a double significance. Today is the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Saint Nicholas Day, celebrated on December 6th by Christians across many countries in Europe and around the world.
Together, we will defend our right to live, our God-given land; we will defend our future and a just peace. I am grateful that today, all this will be the subject of far more than one prayer. Thank you for being here, for standing close, and for making this unity palpable.
On this day, I believe that every child in Ukraine will receive what they have long deserved – silence instead of strikes, calm instead of air raid alarms, reliable peace instead of all the evil. Thank you all for your support, for every warm word, and every good deed done for Ukraine.
I’m just an ordinary Ukrainian soldier, and I don’t understand:
Why are American politicians🇺🇸 aggressively pressuring Ukraine🇺🇦 to make peace, instead of pressuring the aggressor - Russia🇷🇺?!
Why does the United States🇺🇸 have a long list of demands for Ukraine🇺🇦 but none for Russia🇷🇺?
Why do American politicians speak politely with dictator #Putin, yet harshly with democratically elected President #Zelenskyy?
Why?
Even foreigners understand that Russia's demands to give Ukraine the Russian Orthodox Church, to make the Russian language the state language - this is the occupation of Ukraine, this is the destruction of Ukraine by non-military means.
Unfortunately, the US does not understand this. Incompetence or working for Russia? I don't even know what is worse...
@DevanaUkraine this is my video, but I was born in Rivne and my family immigrated to the US. I consider myself American but have so much family and friends in Ukraine so my heart aches for my people and homeland. Just trying to sound the alarm to my fellow Americans ❤️
This so-called “peace” plan is nothing of the sort. It rewards aggression, legitimizes theft, and leaves Ukraine’s wounds wide open.
Under this proposal, Vladimir Putin would keep the territory he violently seized—along with the tens of thousands of Ukrainian children abducted from their homes. He would remain free to occupy churches where pastors and congregations were expelled for refusing to bow to Moscow’s control.
This isn’t diplomacy. It’s a blueprint for cultural erasure. By allowing Russia to retain stolen land, stolen people, and stolen churches, the plan would cement the very objectives Putin set out to achieve: the destruction of Ukraine’s identity, faith communities, and future.
In short, this plan doesn’t bring peace. It facilitates cultural genocide.

@CEWhiteford@repdarrellissa@societyofstjohn the russian orthodox church is not a free religious institution, rather its a tool used by the Kremlin to control the population.
I read with deep concern the report that a delegation tied to the Russian Orthodox Church, an institution widely documented as a tool of the Kremlin, is meeting with U.S. officials here in Washington.
Let me be clear: When a church stands hand in glove with a regime that blesses bombs and traffics in death, we cannot pretend we are meeting simply for spiritual dialogue.
We are entering a battle for the soul of the Gospel. This is spiritual warfare. The Russian Orthodox Church has publicly blessed military hardware, aligned itself with the war machine of Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin, and worn the uniform of aggression rather than the robe of the Good Shepherd.
As a Spiritual Diplomat, I urge our leaders, our churches, and every believer: Let us exercise discernment, not simply diplomacy. Let us stand for faith that elevates life, not ideologies that destroy it. The Gospel does not bless bombs or strategize assault. It ministers mercy, seeks justice, and lifts the oppressed.
To U.S. officials: Engage wisely. To faith leaders: Protect the integrity of our witness.
To the Church universal: We must ask ourselves who we are aligning with when we sit at the table. If your partner stands with cruelty, your platform becomes compromised.
Now is the time to lift our voices and pray for Ukraine, for all innocent lives caught in this war, and for the Church worldwide to reclaim its call to be peacemakers. May we not be silent when faith is used to justify violence. May we instead be bold when truth is opposed.
In this moment, let us walk with courage. Let us speak with clarity. Let us live out the call of the Prince of Peace.
