The monoclonal variant will create more infections and so will cause the opportunity for more variants. Eventually we could get a variant that is immune to the vaccines we have and then we are done. Think.

@Cristina331203 @thechef_jeff If you search online they work better the more symptomatic you are but they can still detect Covid without symptoms. The issue you are mentioning is that they can cause more false negative results than the more effective PCR tests.

@AnimaliaQueen @CP24 I have seen many accidents that are from aggressive drivers. Many are the ones who do not check blind spots. The other issue is people taking two lanes to turn because they swing put and hit someone. Tests should be taken every 5 years for everyone.

@MattIngramNEWS @CHCHNews This variant was just found. They just announced the travel ban so it is most likely they came before the ban. The variant was in South Africa for weeks before they identified the new variant and assessed it as a variance of concern. It stinks but this is what happens.

@Don_Macfarlane @CheriDiNovo He is in education. Breaking the current restrictions for something that is not related to his job is not right. If he goes out for necessary work related issues we would not complain. If he stayed home we would not even think about him. We have more important issues.

When they do random school testing more kids than staff and the tdsb web data is the same. Kids can transmit and get the virus. It is not just from adults.

@jdeq My wife is a nurse and I am a teacher with 2 kids. This will be hard for teachers. We have more privilege than the families we teach. We have single mothers who work in nursing homes and night jobs and will be helping kids during the day. Just imagine how hard it is for them.

When multiple teachers and students are infected it has to be from school spread. Really unlikely those teachers all live in the community and go to the same gatherings.

@Amitsubedi @tdsb The one we agreed on last year. It was never ratified until now. Remember when the teacher strike happened and they said everything was settled and we had an agreement. That agreement is the one they are talking about. Even this is listed as a tentative agreement by TDSB.
