Farewell Mr Wheeler. Retiring today after 5+ years of administrating the Stour Estuary office. He'll be back as a #volunteer though! #legend@RSPBEngland
It's official! The new Suffolk Moths website now launched & available for viewing. Big thanks to @norfolkmoths for putting it all together. Plus thanks to all the volunteers who have worked on the project (& still are) @BeachHutBirder@DeansMatthew et al.

@RichardFoxBC would you have any top tips for Purple Emperor caterpillar searching please: preferred aspect, height, age of sallow etc. Thanks in advance.
Did you spot this fantastic footage on last night's Countryfile? We were thrilled that our well placed camera trap was successful! To find out more about becoming a river warden or joining in with the 25th Annual Essex Otter Survey, please visit https://t.co/v3PCGdHEhq
A short clip of the amazing Starling mumuration at Hen Reedbeds this evening. A conservative estimate of 30,000 has been made but it's near impossible to get an accurate count. The first few flocks began to arrive at 15:45ish with the last being 16:15ish. Enjoy!!
Today's #birdringing.
Well hello Blackbird, do you remember I ringed you four years ago, 10/11/15, just 5.6 km from here?
We haven't seen each other since.
Did you stay local, I wonder, or have you been travelling much?
