Mainstream AI transcription tools often struggle with local languages, sometimes in ways that reverse meaning entirely, and @FINCA International found this while analysing Luganda customer feedback, where a statement that a customer had not yet received her loan was transcribed as though she already had, due to a single missing prefix.

After adopting Sunbird AI's speech library, built specifically for African languages, FINCA worked from transcripts it could trust, which led to real changes in how they serve customers. Language AI has to understand what it's transcribing, not just convert it to text.
