This idea may not be the final answer but it highlights a bigger point: creativity is needed, and needed quickly, if we are to find the best outcome for Sheffield Wednesday.

Every week Chansiri remains in control, more damage is done to the club we love.

Sheffield Wednesday is now at breaking point.

On and off the pitch, the club feels like it is in freefall. There is a genuine fear that the club may not survive if this continues and Dejphon Chansiri has shown little willingness to sell on realistic terms

At other clubs, the stadium has been the key to unlocking change. Control of the ground creates leverage.

Hillsborough is central to Sheffield Wednesday’s past and its future.

Perhaps it is time for investors, potential buyers etc to explore this route to the negotiation table.
