Heading out onto the Toronto Pride Parade route with our @MississaugaFES team. A fantastic day promoting our role not only as first responders but as advocates for equality and respect for all individuals.

BREAKING!
In a late night agreement #BillC224 - An Act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting - has passed 3rd Reading in the Senate unamended and will become law! Royal Assent will occur in the coming days. Congratulations to all who worked so hard on this bill - in particular our firefighters and their representatives. As Senate critic and supporter of this bill, I have said this many times: firefighters are always there for us and now we must be there for them.

Dir of Science & Research @NeilMcMillan162 spoke today before the @SenateCA on Bill C224, which would create a national framework for preventing and treating cancer in fire fighters. We're devoted to making the job safer for today's fire fighters and the generations to follow.
#PrideMonth is a time to celebrate equality, inclusion and diversity by showing support for every member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
As firefighters we are all leaders in our community and we champion the rights of all to be accepted, respected and equal as their true selves.
Congratulations to Councillor Jim Lee on his election to #Oshawa city council. @iafflocal465 did great work supporting a candidate that supports the issues of firefighters @opffa@IAFFCanada

Today we’re marching in the #Toronto#Pride Parade to show the world we're allies and that the fire service is an open, inclusive, and accepting place for everyone! Happy Pride!
Listening to IAFF GP Kelly talk about the cancer causing materials in the firefighting protective clothing we all wear. Listen in here: https://t.co/w3Dvug1rbz. Signup is free. This has been a highly educational conference. @IAFF1212@opffa
It was kind of surreal to get vaccinated today in the @UTM RAWC (the same spot where I wrote so many exams during undergrad). Thanks @THP_hospital for such a smooth experience and thanks to the @MississaugaFES firefighter who was so understanding of my fear of needles!!
Local 1212 members proudly began receiving their #COVID19vaccine training this week.
Our members are eager to get to work helping with the immunization efforts with the @THP_hospital#COVID19 Vaccination Program.
Sarnia firefighters want to restore an agreement that sees the service respond to certain medical calls alongside paramedics. @SarniaFirefight@SarniaFire@LambtonEMS https://t.co/WmrfYldqYk
Today is a big day for the IAFF - a day that will determine our future for many years to come! As we wait for results to come in, I would like to thank everyone for engaging in this process through these trying times. No matter who you supported, we are all in this together!
