@thelivingvote@RestoreBritain So therefore no new / insurgent / disruptive party should ever be allowed to appear in public debate? That's the logical conclusion from your assertion.
@ReconnectingOx Not in the slightest. It's a residential road and a useful cut through if needing to get from Marsh Lane to MFR or vice versa in heavy traffic.
@AllisonPearson Can't believe commenters having a go as if you don't understand how local elections work! Your OP said the defeat Labour will suffer *SHOULD trigger* a GE. I'm sure you're perfectly aware that it (sadly!) won't - conditionality of 'should' apparently lost on many dullards here!
@JackElsom@TheSun Oll is sold on International markets. Gas price is not the same. It is subject to a lot more variables, including how dependent a country is and whether it relies on imports or makes its own. All those of you saying north sea gas won't cut bills, read Kathryn Porter.
@toadmeister Already happened in Oxford. I live there, have seen it. Some limited resistance / pushback but, to my sadness and bitterness, far too many people have just grumbled, applied for their 100 permits and grudgingly accepted it. Hardly anybody consciously not complying.
@ReconnectingOx I notice that "removing the LTNs which have caused all the problems in the first place" was not an option considered by these fanatical, deluded fools.
@olivercookson@piersmorgan Try reading On Democracies and Death Cults by Douglas Murray. You obviously have no idea of the sheer evil and depravity unleashed on 7/10/2023 do you? Once you read that book, you will understand that Hamas deserves everything it now gets, and then some.
@piersmorgan Read Douglas Murray's new book On Democracies and Death Cults. And then tell me if anything Israel does is "disproportionate". Hamas are vile, sub-human butchers who willingly sacrifice their own citizens for their cause. They deserve everything that comes to them.
@JohnJohnStewart All those of you saying "scheme is supported as a result of the incumbents being elected"...
Last full council elections were in 2021, when everybody was preoccupied with covid. Turnout was appalling. Policies like this were hidden away and wouldn't have been supported if known!
@PolitlcsUK@alexwickham I don't care. Just end the war, end the horrible, senseless slaughter and open up the Russian gas pipes again to bring our energy bills down. Don't care how they get there or who has to give up what concessions. We can't afford net zero, that is the overriding British aim here.
@EcoCreds@TheGreenParty Yes, if you want to live in the dark half the time with intermittent blackouts. You really are stupid. What about when the wind doesn't blow or the sun doesn't shine? Even when those things do happen, we can't generate all the power we need through them!
@ChrisGPackham Yes it's remarkable isn't it. A politician making promises and actually keeping them. Unlike you and the bunch of eco-socialist grifters temporarily in government in Britain.
@TheGreenParty Nonsense. We had no summer to speak of, there can't have been more than a day or two at the very most in the south of England, where I live, with temperatures of 30 degrees. Spring was cold, much of summer was dreary / chilly... pull the other one you liars!
@mwt2008@PJF6801@OctopusEnergy So it's cheapest at the times when you're asleep or at work and most expensive when you're getting up for work, getting home from work and cooking, washing, warming the house, watching tv, bathing kids etc.
These "demand management" tariffs are a crock of shit.
