Reminds me of Jean-Pierre van Rossem and the Moneytron Onyx scandal of the 90s, and prior to that Jerry Dominelli and the JDavid/John Fitzpatrick racing scam in 1982 and 1983 (I tell the whole story in my latest book The JFR Gp C Porsches).
