@Smith_UKC@kalanighost It takes roughly 2-3x the time using a us-made kettle in the US to boil. As power = voltage^2/resistance, halving the voltage to 120 actually reduces the power by 4x so it should take 4x longer to boil. US kettle makers try to compensate by lowering the resistance in the kettle.
@CXCarroll Perhaps. I wonder whether they would have thought about that outcome beforehand and determined where they could acquire fuel and supplies behind the lines.
@CXCarroll The nato response would be to use tactical nuclear strikes to eliminate Soviet armoured formations. Neither of these scenarios are realistic today.
This is a wonderful paper: https://t.co/HS8AJK7pLO.
Thanks to @skdh for posting a link. The removal in the 5th axiom of the word “continuous” gives classical probability theory; leave it in, you get quantum probabilities with complex amplitudes.
@iuditg It doesn’t work like this. The text fingerprinting involves mathematically rigging word choice. If you instruct it to keep your blog verbatim, and just check for spelling and punctuation issues, it can’t add a fingerprint.
@CaryPolice I called you twice tonight about cars racing along Green level church road up to O’Kelly Chapel road, and was fobbed off twice. It was clearly an organised race. Why did you let this happen?
